About UP-TEX
The UP-tex Cluster is an association of companies, research and tech transfer centres that have been approved as a Competition Cluster by the French State. By 2015, the Cluster's aim is to become a European benchmark in the field of Advanced Textile Materials, Polysensoriality, Design and Mass Customisation.
The Cluster's goal is to federate the best competencies for preparing and optimising projects, place textiles at the heart of the materials of tomorrow through innovative applications, speed up the development of markets and activities linked to Advanced Textile Materials, foster the development of innovation at scientific, technological and industrial levels.

About ESI
ESI is a pioneer and world-leading provider in virtual prototyping that takes into account the physics of materials. ESI has developed an extensive suite of coherent, industry-oriented applications to realistically simulate a product's behavior during testing, to fine-tune manufacturing processes in accordance with desired product performance, and to evaluate the environment's impact on performance. ESI's solutions fit into a single collaborative and open environment for End-to-End Virtual Prototyping, thus eliminating the need for physical prototypes during product development. The company employs over 750 high-level specialists worldwide covering more than 30 countries. For further information, visit: www.esi-group.com
About PROCOTEX
Procotex is a leading producer/exporter of flax fibers and recycled synthetic/natural fibers (such as PP, PS, AC, CO, Jute, Kennaf, Cocos, blends,...). Today Procotex is providing her great knowledge of hackling long flax fibers to produce UD prepregs in flax for applications in the high end composite industry. These UD-prepregs have exceptional strong characteristics such as:
Green by nature. 100% renewable raw material. Sustainable/Recyclable/Biodegradable/Compostable. High strength and stiffness. Light weight/weight savings. Low density vs. Glass fiber and other composite fibers. High vibration absorption. Good thermal and acoustic insulation. Lower environmental impact. Ecological benefits. Low abrasion.
To resume : Materials for a low carbon future! We can develop for you prepregs in flax in combination with thermoplast (PP) or thermoset resins.
